Course 2: Setup and Tracking

In this course you will learn how to setup a recording session.  We will decide where to place the instruments and musicians, how to isolate them, which microphones to use and how to set them up.  Next, you will learn how to get a proper signal level from the instruments and or vocalist.  Finally, we will track the instruments and vocals.

Course 3: Editing

This is the stage of recording that you will learn to edit audio.  We cut and paste parts, remove unwanted sounds and fix timing and pitches.

Course 4: Mixing

In Mixing, you will learn how to make a song come to life.  You will learn about equalization, compression and effects such as reverb, delay and more.  We will adjust volume and panning for each individual track.  We will tweak the sound until the song sounds professional.
