Santoor, India, 16 Left + 15 Right courses, 3 strings per course. Hammers play along metal strings providing an exotic sound. Inlaid red lacquer oakwood body. Top and bottom are veneered plywood for strength.

The santoor, or santur, is derived from the ancient Mesopotamian Psantir. It is struck with delicate wooden hammers. Includes hammers and case. Paloma brand from Mumbai.
