John G. Mayer has over 25 years experience teaching music
and currently works full time teaching in Delaware public schools. He received his undergraduate degree in music
education from West Chester University, and his masters degree in music
performance from University of Delaware.
His former teachers include Bruce Revesz of the New York
City Opera and Seymour Rosenfeld of the Philadelphia Orchestra. He has played for the Bala Cynwd Symphony
Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra and the North Jersey Philharmonic. He also has experience as a studio musician
and composer, writing arrangements for instrumental ensembles as well as
original classical works.
Although John specializes in trumpet, he gives also lessons
on trombone, baritone horn and tuba to students of any age and skill level.
He teaches at the Concord location and charges $25/half
hour, payable monthly.
