as well as conducting clinics and teaching privately.
Jackie teaches at the Concord Pike location on Mondays and Tuesdays and at the Kirkwood Highway location on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Jackie's drum instruction includes all levels from beginner to advanced, and students interested in lessons with Jackie should be at least 9 years old. Jackie charges $25.00 per 1/2 hour lesson. Vic Holveck Drum Teacher |
Vic Holveck studied music for 6 years with Jim Chapin from the Manhattan School of Music. He has 40 years of teaching experience, 19 of which have been with us here at both locations of Accent Music. He also has 15 years of on-the-road experience. He teaches all styles of drumming and percussion, and teaches all ages 9 and up and all skill levels from beginner to advanced. |

Rich Degnars holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. He also attended a summer program at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.In addition to his education, Rich has an enormous amount of playing experience. He currently performs with Lauren Hart and his sister Gina as well as many others. He has recorded with top notch producers such as Grammy Award Winning Phil Nicolo and Grammy Nominated David Ivory. Many songs that Rich has played on have made radio air time and sound tracks on national television. He has performed in numerous venues such as the Wachovia Center, World Café, Tin Angel, Chaplin’s, Keswick Theatre, Sellersville Theatre, Bitter End, Baby Grand, Big Kahuna just to name a few. Recently, he has performed live on the NBC 10 Show. Rich has been teaching drums and percussion at Accent Music since 1992. He is able to teach beginner to advanced levels in all styles. Many of his students have made the All State Concert and Jazz Bands. Others have done well with their own bands playing shows and making recordings. Some have continued on to study music at the college level. Ultimately, the skills that are acquired from taking lessons with Rich will allow the student to go in any direction musically. In the lessons, the student will receive exercises that cover every nuance of drumming such as: technique, reading, rudiments, rhythm training, speed exercises, hundreds of beats and coordination exercises, songs, double bass techniques, jazz, chart reading, improvisation, tuning drums and all styles. Also, Rich has been involved with the Accent Music Rock Shop which gives students the opportunity to meet and perform with other students. Rich teaches at both Accent Music locations. |
Michael Ristano Drum Instruction |
Mike has over 21 years of playing experience and is currently teaching at the Concord Pike location. He is currently in local band Stealing December, and has toured with 5-time platinum Geffen recording artists Papa Roach. Mike also performed in the rock opera "Rasputin", written and produced by Michael Rapp and starring singer/performer Ted Neeley. Both artists are from one of Broadway's longest running hits "Jesus Christ Superstar." Mike has worked numerous studio sessions in Delaware as well as Philadelphia for several artists. He is one of the few instructors who has taught autistic children. Mike and his band have also appeared on TV Guide Channel on Demand, HDNet, and MTV radio. In February 2008, Mike was named Best Drummer by Delaware radio station 93.7 WSTW, as voted on by its Delaware Valley Listeners. Mike teaches all skill levels and has a student age limit of at least 7 years old. |

He played in his high school concert, wind ensemble, and jazz bands, and a few rock bands on the side. Rich teaches all students ages 8 and up, and all skill levels, beginner to advanced. |
