Helping
the homeless and addicted in Wilmington.
As the Queen Theater lay derelict for over 50 years
and has been restored to the Wilmington Community, also, the Sunday Breakfast
Mission works to restore the homeless and addicted men and families to our
community. The combination of this
restoration image and the work of Wilmington's local music community and
students through Accent Music will provide a lasting contribution.
The
date of the concert is Friday March 2 at 8pm The Queen in the downstairs theater.
This
event features 9 bands MC'd by a local Radio Mark Roger of WSTW's Home Town Heroes. All the bands feature associates, teachers
and students of Accent Music. There are 4 headline bands and five Accent Music
Rockschool bands each playing a short set. Also, Mark Rogers will be sure the entertain between the acts and short interviews with the band members and RockSchool
kids. The
Sunday Breakfast Mission to allow a couple of graduates from their program to
talk about how they have been restored to the community and families.
Also, During
the months of Jan and Feb, members of the bands will donate their time to the
Sunday Breakfast Mission visiting the facilities, serving meals and talking
with the people living there.
Please come and support our local music community and serve a great cause to restore our homeless and addicted.
