Accent Music has deep roots in the music business.  Founded in 1988, father and son owners Don Harkey and Steve Harkey wanted to provide the ultimate place for product selection, service and low prices.  Out of a small store we have become one of the nation’s top 150 retailers.  Now with 2 large stores in Delaware we have served the community well with full service on all the products we sell.  We are committed and have a passion for delivering only the highest quality products and services to all levels from beginner to professional.  Our staff is knowledgeable and we specialize in all the areas of musical instruments as well as digital music technology.  Our full-service band and orchestra rental program gets many kids stared in music as we serve most of the public and private school music programs in our 4 state region.

We add to our passion for music the Accent Music Learning Center.  This educational facility houses 28 teaching studios and over 40 teachers that provide our community with private lessons on most musical instruments including voice instruction.  Many of our students have graduated with honors from their school band programs or gone to schools like Berklee and Philadelphia school of the performing arts.  Our Music Learning Center is a community of musicians.  Our students, teachers and families are committed together to learn and appreciate music for all it is and to promote its benefits to our community.

We also operate a full function repair facility for guitars, electronics and band instruments. Our association with the most advanced electronic technicians and guitar repair luthiers assures you some of the highest quality repair service in our industry.  Our in-house repair facility also provides full service on woodwind, brasswind and orchestral string instruments.
