 With 20 years of guitar playing experience and a B.A. in Commercial Music from Shenandoah Conservatory, Chris Horne has started his own private teaching studio -
Soulstrings Incorporated. The mission of Soulstrings Incorporated is to help people develop their creativity through learning to play the guitar. A multi-instrumentalist proficient in recording and engineering, Chris Horne’s vision expands far beyond his role as a “guitar instructor.” His lesson plans delve into the many dimensions of musicianship, and include teaching live performance, songwriting and recording. Chris developed this vision through his experiences in his home studio, his years as a guitar instructor at the Kirkwood Highway location of Accent Music, and through his work with area bands including Stygian Veil, This is Oblivion, and Shelton Davis. Chris’ former band, Latebloom, released their first CD entitled The Hovercraft Diaries.
Through the years, Chris has successfully enhanced the musical education of hundreds of students, and is always looking for more! Payment is $25.00 per 1/2 hour lesson and is taken 4 lesson blocks in advance, payed monthly. |
